Hal
Keller
Marketing
and Consulting
Mr.
Keller brings over 35 years
experience in engineering,
construction and finance. Prior
to joining The Energy Group,
he
served as President of KMS Energy,
Inc. developers of power
projects in the US and Canada.
KMS formed one of the earliest
income funds on the Toronto
Stock Exchange, provided management
and administration for the KMS
Power Income Fund, successfully
closed follow-on offerings,
and later merged the Fund with
the
Algonquin Power Income Fund.
Since 1978 Keller has been a
major shareholder in the Chicago-based
Forbes Electrical Services,Inc.
a 60 year old engineering, construction
and electrical service
organization specializing in
power generation systems. Keller
served
as President and General Manager
of Forbes for 15 years prior
to
founding KMS.
Prior to his ownership in Forbes,
he was President and General
Manager
of Product Specialties, Inc.
a subsidiary of Lancaster
Colony Corp. Keller earned a
Bachelor of Science degree from
Ball State University in 1971
and post graduate degrees in
Electrical Engineering and marketing
from Purdue and North American
University. Hal is a former
musician, still plays brass
for fun and
is a regular basketball player
in the local YMCA men’s
league.
Henry
Martin
Consultant
While Director of Gas Recovery
& Control for Waste Management,
Inc. in the early 80’s,
Martin developed the computer
models still
used today to determine methane
production from landfills, and
he
pioneered the gas-to-energy
industry. Henry was named President
& General Manager of National
Energy Systems, Inc. in 1987,
a subsidiary
of the Marmon Group, formed
to take advantage of the deregulation
of
natural gas and the vanguard
of electricity deregulation.
NES was merged with the KMS
Energy Group in 1991 and Martin
served as Chief Operating Officer
for KMS, which designed, built,
owned and operated cogeneration,
waste-to-energy and independent
power production plants. Business
activity included commodity
energy
sales (gas and electric), steam,
hot and chilled water, with
plants in the
US and Canada.
As a Senior Officer Martin was
responsible for all operating
facilities of
the company including labor
management, operating budget
approval
and compliance, capital budgets,
environmental compliance, technology
improvements, minor and major
equipment maintenance, customer
relations, human resources,
OSHA and employee safety, equipment
specifications and purchasing.
Staff included Vice-President
of Operations,
regional and local superintendents
and hourly operating staff.
Henry received a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Engineering
from
Roosevelt University, Chicago,
in1980, and an MBA from the
University
of Miami in 2001. Henry is bi-lingual,
competent in conversational
Spanish.
Henry is an accomplished organist
and tennis player.
